THE RED IN OUR FLAG: reminds me of Jesus' blood that was shed on the cross for our sins. (Hebrews 9:22b KJV) "Without shedding of blood there is no remission of sin."
That means without the sacrifice of God's Only Son, Our Dear Lamb of God there would not be forgiveness for you and me.
Have you made the greatest decision one can ever make? As you humbled yourself and ask Jesus to put your sins under His Shed Blood? If not, your sins remain unforgiven.
THE WHITE IN OUR FLAG: reminds me that when I gave my heart to Jesus, He washed me and I became as "white as snow", in the Father's eyes! (Isaiah 1:18 KJV) "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." Do you really want to be clean? Soap and water won't do it! Only the shed Blood of Jesus can make us clean. For "though your sins be as scarlet they shall be white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." Why not bow your head at this very moment and pray? "Dear Lord Jesus, Cleanse me and wash me white as snow in your precious blood of atonement."
THE BLUE OF OUR FLAG: reminds me of God's faithfulness. For The Word of God says, (1 John 1:9 KJV) "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Have you confessed your sins? Why not do it at this very moment? All you have to do is say, "Dear Lord Jesus, I am a sinner, please take away my sins and cleanse my heart and soul of all unrighteousness. This very moment I pray."
Now that you have been obedient to the Holy Spirit's leadership, you must publicly confess Jesus at the next Commitment and Prayer time.
Now, the next time you see the Red, White and Blue, let it remind you not only of a great Nation, but more importantly, allow it to remind you of Our Great Savior, Jesus!
May God bless and use your new Faith, so that the whole world may come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior!
